Pompeo is mean and smart enough, but he comes across as too intense, to eager for combat.

I think Mitch will steer the Republican party in another direction.

Pompeo should become a political force in California. He should make sure he is in contention should Gavin Newsome be recalled. Win or lose, he should stay involved, run for some other office, and fight to end universal mail-in voting in California. Will be extremely difficult as dems abuse it to stay in power and they have alomst complete control now, but if anyone is up to it, Mike is.

DeSantis is definitely on the current shortlist of running mates for Trump (along with Noem) should the Donald decide to run again. If Trump stands down, then I think Desantis is the current frontrunner for the GOP nod and he would beat Harris in an unrigged general election.
