Hermione is a real name?
Well *beep*
shareIKR? Dunno her birth year, but it HAS to be after '97, and her parents HAVE to be HP fans as well as pretty f'n dumb too. Naming their child Hermione is idiotic...

google her name and it says
December 19, 1993 (age 21)
Hermione is a real name that predates HP. In Archie Comics, Veronica's mother is named Hermione. Also, I have found at least two other actors with that name - one of which was in "Mary Poppins" in 1964.

Hermione is a greek name which has existed literally THOUSANDS of years before the Harry Potter books were written.
The most popular Hermione in greek mythology is the daughter of King Menelaus and Helen of Troy (I'd like to think that you people have heard of these guys, it is general culture).

Before criticizing names, you people should remember that Google is your friend and perhaps you should consider reading other things besides the Harry Potter's saga.

Don't you know HERMIONE NORRIS the British actress? she has been in lots of good stuff not least SPOOKS/MI5.
shareIt's still a silly name. I don't even remember how to pronounce it.
Sexy child though.
Her parents are idiots because you didn't pay attention to your mythology or at the very least figure out how to use google?
People were naming their kids Hermione THOUSANDS of years before Harry Potter came along.
There are numerous examples of famous people and book characters named Hermione.
David Bowie had a song in the 70s called Letters to Hermione, presumably named after a former girlfriend.
Finally - Harry Potter came out in 97 making it 18 years old. i'm not sure how old this lady is but she's clearly older than that.
Yep, you're correct. Point taken.
