Its becuase of him, that i dont watch star wars anymore

i used to be big fan of chris stuckmann, and the had the same views he did on movies or tv. but then i watched his star wars reviews, and unsubscribed. one of the biggest problems i had with chris star wars reviews is that he sounds EXACTLY like a star wars fan than an actual critic. Instead of critiqing the films in a calm professional way like he did with with his other reviews, he goes full fanboy on star wars. Over praising the original trilogy becuase of nostalgia, and shitting on the prequels, because of bad acting, jar jar, and how it ruined his childhood. not to mention shitting on the actors (Jake Lloyd) who worked so hard on playing there roles, and meant no harm to anyone. now this sounds weird, because if you watched the prequels it did had problems, but its pros outweigh the cons. the original trilogy had problems too, but again, pros outweigh cons. star wars fans made the films unwatchable becuase of thier constant complaining on the prequels. When i saw that he made star wars reviews, i was really interested, as i was a new star wars fan, but i watched all his reviews in disappiointed. i expected a more mature, well thought provoking video, but to see my favorite reviewer being part of the hate train, and act the fan an average fan acts, i can no longer watch star wars and be happy. i feel so embarrassed watching prequels becuase of the hate it receives. and now its august 2019, and im done with star wars for good, thanks to jerks like chris stuckman. i hope your happy chris for ruining star wars for me.

Thats true. but its just so hard to like and defend a film everybody hates, and the wound hurts even more when your favorite critic spats on it as well. now that i look back, Chris is an ego-tastic narcissist. when i watch his dragon ball videos, or anything geek related, he goes all out, acting like hes an expert, and if one problem goes wrong, its like the end of the world for him. the cringe is real

I'm sorry I cannot listen to him talk anymore about Star Wars and defend these new movies. And in his video about The Force Awakens he sounds so much like a Kool Aid drinking fan boy and he makes every excuse in the book for them. Example: "So the 7th entry in a franchise is like the first, well Creed is a lot like the first Rocky movie so there", "Oh TFA follows a formula well so does Indiana Jones (Last Crusade I admit ripped off Raiders, Temple did not plus that's just justify a mistake with another mistake which is childish)" Then in the same review he talks about how Interstellar has problems with a far better movie than these POS Star Wars films and is far more intelligent.

I will say this though I did agree with him on his Rambo: Last Blood review and I'm glad he had the courage to not call it racist (which it isn't, although I didn't like the movie), and his review for Fant4stic was also hilarious.

Why don't you be honest. It is impossible for anyone to give a positive review of any of the Disney Star Wars films and still be intelligent.

If he said "So the 7th entry in a franchise is like the first, well Creed is a lot like the first Rocky movie so there" then MovieChatUser497's complaint is valid.

The Rocky series should go back to the 1st movie as a completion. It is about a person's life where there story is the one and only focus. It shows how Rocky started out young and needed help thru his time at being at the top and now in his old age he is able to help the young.

You may retort with that is Luke's story and that is fine, Luke teaching Rey is excellent but all the other things that are the same make it a bad argument. The plans being hidden in a droid, the new hero being on a desert planet, another fracking death star type weapon, Rey seeing her mentor (Han) getting killed right before eyes by the villain, (then in TLJ) you have an opening scene where the good guys are on a planet that they have to escape thru a blockade, the splitting up of the main characters into their own stories, a battle on a planet with white substance (in empire snow, in TLJ salt) where the bad guys are using AT-ATs. There are just TOO many similarities to ignore.

While Rocky is a personal story, Star Wars is an epic story. In Rocky the similarities between the 1st and 7th are used to encompass the story. Star Wars is not over yet. It is like you are reading a book and the 1st and 7th chapters are the same with character names changed. That makes for a bad book.

Good points, all i was saying that using another franchise that made the same mistake doesn’t make the mistake magically disappear. That strategy Chris uses was very immature and childish

It's irrelevant what anyone else's opinion of a movie is except yours. If you enjoy it despite what the critics say, then that's what's important. Don"t give them so much power over what you enjoy or despise.

thank you. i appreciate that. i realize what a hypocrite chris is in star wars. he barks on the phantom menace becuase of bad acting and bad characters, yet he praises the last jedi....dont get me wrong, im no last jedi hater, and i can never attack the director or actors on making this film. in fact i think the last jedi as a movie in general, is very good. However, in star wars standards, it sucks. i hated the plot, the new charcters were annoying, and the acting was bad. yet Chris the "star wars expert" liked how different the film was and didnt mind the changes with how the force works, YET HE HATED MIDICHLORIANS IN PHANTOM MENACE. So hypocritical of chris, made me unsubcribe his channel. till this day i havent watched his shit reviews, and im glad i still dont. same with that dipshit Doug Walker (nostalgia critic) who i see is desperately trying to gain views with his clickbait thumbnails. my Df youtube channel blocker really comes in handy from avoinding diphits like him.

By the way, i liked the force awakens.
