Hes a Great Movie Critic
one of The Best
shareNo he's not. He's excellent at pandering
shareHe represents the triumph of enthusiasm over insight.
sharehe's a half-nerd whose only real hook is making fun of movies that he couldn't begin to comprehend how to create
shareExactly this. I've tried multiple times to watch this guy, after reading here and there how good he is. I still don't get it. I know that critics have to critique or they won't have a career, but he just seems like he constantly has that in mind and, because of that, his critiques just seem so inauthentic and forced, as if he doesn't believe himself.
shareHe does OK if it's a movie he likes. But if it's a movie he doesn't like, the critique can be nauseating....
shareIm not a fan, but it's good you enjoy his content. Being a YouTube movie critic is hard work and he's obviously a good reviewer considering how long he's been doing reviews.
shareThere are much better critics who really give more insight into movies. Stuckmann is sometimes so off on his reviews, that it is laughable. Midsommar comes to mind. He just didn't get why the beginning of the movie was so important to the rest of it.
sharehe used to be.. but in the last 2 years has got lazy and gone downhill. he is great with the classic movies reviewing them, but get's on that mainstream bandwagon of action superhero movies. by heart he is a action fanboy you can tell he is a different person in those reviews and picks everything apart and they go longer between 10 to 20 mins. and also ads a spoiler review. where as just a normal movie non mainstream would be 5 to 8 mins
sharePlease be more respectful to the English language.
shareYou guys's wouldn't know but Billy Slater, he was a Melbourne Storm player, retired now. he was a grub, and fuck the English language this isn't a essay it's chat.
back on topic.. it is hard to find good reviewers on youtube that have a variety of movies. you look at ScreenJunkies and Colider. and all their movie reviews 95% of topics are superhero crap done to death. or Star Wars. and the mailbag questions are dumb questions all to do with superhero questions like 'who would win in a fight batman or superman". and box office numbers. rather then talking about the actual movie or any variety at all. I like Superhero movies. but it would be nice if when you go to a youtube page the first 5 topics are not about Spiderman. or where to next in the MCU? or rumors of casting of the next Catwoman, Scott Mantz is good though on FYC but that show is only on about once a month.
Red Letter Media are good for variety but don't release that many videos enough.
yep and champions physical media
