Why haven't I noticed this man before?

Wow, where did he come from? My friend told me to have a go at The Vampire Diaries again, and by all things I hold sacred, I haven't regretted it a second. His portrayal of Kai was just spot on perfect from the first scene I saw him in. Never before have I seen a more evil character, yet he's able to be so incredibly dynamic. He's both charming, clever, deadly, and tons of other awesome things. He really came as a fresh wind into that series, and is currently my only big reason for watching it (besides Bonnie, as she's full of surprises this season 6).

Anyway, I've searched the web for other shows with Chris Wood, and found The Carrie Diaries first. A totally opposite character to Kai, but still irresistible and charming as playwright Adam Weaver. Then I found the episode in Major Crimes where he played the killer Brandon North. Scary as hell. Then I was through a miracle able to find the pilot of Browsers, in which he plays an adorable character. Shame it didn't get picked up, because then we might have been able to enjoy his singing talents.

Oh, did I forget to mention that he can sing? Yeah, this guy went to Elon University. Theater and musicals. Have a look on YouTube, and search for Kiss me Kate or 110 in the shade. After graduation he even played in Spring Awakening and Damn Yankees. It's amazing.

I find new actors to admire every so often, but this actor really gets my respect. He can sing, dance and act, is super nice and a really good guy in real life, and he constantly keeps on surprising me in his various roles.

I'm curious to see whether he'll stay in television shows, or branch out to be in movies as well. He's already made the leap from the theater stage to television, so..

Looking forward to see what he might do in the new Cordon series as Jake, even though I also want to see him continue his role as the unpredictable Kai Parker on TVD. Hopefully I can get to see both.
