I really think there’s gonna be a new wave of American filmmaking to rival the 70s/90s in a minute or two, if only because youth culture and mainstream movies are so woefully out of sync with each other rn and there are def young queer artists coming up ready to make rad shit

And is ridiculous how so many of these people act like they are the first gay people on Hollywood LOL hello is Hollywood that place always has been full of gay people at all levels from creative to administrative, the difference in the past they were more than gay people they were complex human beings, capable to create interesting stories and talk about a myriad of subjects. Just to mention an example, Joel Schumacher was gayer than a unicorn farting rainbows but the only movie kinda gay I have seen of him was his Batman movies the rest he talked about different subjects and directed a few good movies, like Falling Down, lost boys, 9 MM.
Bros is a great example of shitty cinema which people reject not because people are homophobic but because it is objectively shit, that is what happen when activist play to be artist they create shit nobody like because don't talk about anything just promote an agenda
Every project with this trans gay agenda is awful and is the pinnacle of mediocrity, they are like an old record that can only play a boring old song, not even their own "people" is watching their shit
So good luck with that new generation of queer artist (who only live in his head) that are going to revolutionize Hollywood like Scorsese, Friedkin, Coppola, de Palma, Allen, did it in the 70s
