At what point does a team stop becoming a big 6 team?

They haven't won the league in 16 years. The highest they finished was second and that only happened once.

They haven't passed the Champions League round of 16 since 2010. They haven't even made Champions League in 5 years. They have no European trophies and only one Champions League final.

How are they still considered top 6 when they haven't been there in 3 years?

reply

They’re pretty much a glorified Newcastle lol

A year later and it looks like there's a very good chance they'll miss Champions League again. That would be 6 years in a row. They were also out of every cup before February started, so that means for the last 3 months, they were tested only playing Premier League games.

Arsenal have had two stale periods before without winning the title but still being regarded as a top club among England’s elite.

When they won the double in 1971 it was the first time Arsenal has won the title in 18 years, then after another lean spell of 18 years Arsenal famously won the title again at Anfield on the last day of the season needing to beat Liverpool by a two goal margin. They then went on to have a Golden spell to rival their 1930’s dominance.

Excluding their first ever title triumph in 1930 we are now in their longest period without a title win, it took Arsenal 56 years to win their first title, and I’m hoping their wait for another won’t be as long, but with the money being poured into the oil clubs it’s making it harder for Arsenal and other big 6 clubs to win it.

Anyways Tottenham Hotspur have only won ONE trophy this century and that was the EFL Cup! Yet you focus on the Gunners who have won seven major trophies this century. With all these Arsenal threads you make, I’m beginning to think that you’re a salty Spurs fan! 😂🤣😂

I think I've told you this before, I know a lot of Gunners fans and they're really annoying so that's why I often go after them. I don't know any Spurs fans because let's be honest, it's Tottenham. Even the media knows it: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8mPcbpwfZsc

Are you still without a team?

reply

Don't disrespect my Toronto FC like that. 2017 MLS Cup champions.

reply

Haha maybe I’ll get a Toronto sweatshirt when my LA Galaxy one bites the dust! And no I don’t support Galaxy, I just liked the logo.

You can still pick a epl team, it’s unlikely they’ll ever face each other. 😉

reply

I like Liverpool and I don't know why, but I like Chelsea. Maybe it's the colours and the logo.

reply

Liverpool was the first team I supported when I was kid, then I switched to Arsenal for wanting to be different and having family in London.

I have no regrets!

reply

Maybe I should be a Liverpool fan to give Andy a hard time.

reply

It’s hard enough supporting the toffeemen.

What did I do?

Friendly banter.

You claim to be a Liverpool fan yet their forum is full of posts by me, I claim to be an Arsenal fan yet the this forum is full of posts by you! How does that make sense?
