I liked her too. A lot of people did. I wish I knew why they made the change. But at least now she can play The Girl You Wish You Never Started A Conversation With At A Party again which she did in the very first Weekend Update that she wasn't an anchor for.
shareNot sure where I read it, but the article I read said that she didn't really feel comfortable in the weekend update role, and prefers to do character work. Since the weekend update anchors only do weekend update and don't act in sketches like the rest of the cast she asked to be moved into the main cast. I believe the guy who replaced her (name escapes me right now) is the lead writer, so he just took over for her.
shareI prefer her doing sketches then but she said and did some seriously funny things when she was a Weekend Update anchor. I'm glad she did it all.
