I just watched it - even though with trepidation, because I read the book a few years back and wondered how they'd pull it off to tell the story cinematically through a young child's POV. Damn, this kid is a PHENOMENAL actor! I am in abdoluye awe!

I didn't think the movie was amazing like everybody else on this planet but I thought his performance was outstanding and definitely worth an Acadeny award nomination and even a win. I haven't heard any other performance that is great this year. Looks likes Oscar movies and performances are really lacking this year. Good year for Leonardo DiCaprio to have finally got a win.

I think he will get Oscar nom there is a history of young performance getting nominated that q wallis, Abigale brislen, anna paquin, tatum oneal it can happen

I too was left very emotionally drained watching this film. The idea that people have had to endure this type of ordeal was just scary. And the kid was truly excellent. One of the best performances I've ever seen.
