Sorry, I love her and I totally don't mean to be rude but it was just added to her page that her real name is Chloe Celeste Hosterman. Why change it to Dove Cameron? I mean it's nothing NEAR her name. So would anyone even call her Chloe anymore?

There was a photo posted on-line of a caricature of her and her boyfriend Ryan (Diggy on Liv & Maddie). Under her portrait it said "Chloe" so people must call her that. She looks like a Chloe, I like it *shrug*... could have just been Chloe Cameron. Sounds nice.

shareWell at least that instagram post explains it. Every time I'd heard her talk about her name before, she was always cagey about it as if she were in the witness protection program or something. I'm still curious about where Cameron came from.

shareHer dad called her Dove/Dovey as a kid. He passed away and she changed it to "DOVE" to honor him her last name is a combination of "Chloe Hosterman" which is her real name. She is officially Dove Cameron other than yearbooks and birth certificate she doesn't go by Chloe.
