Former Press Secretary and Trump 2020 spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany will be taking over the fired Carlson’s 8 PM ET slot next week. It’s the third such replacement for the Rupert Murdoch-owned cable newser’s most watched host in as many weeks. Fox News is trying to crawl out of the ratings crater its primetime has been in since the Tucker Carlson Tonight frontman was unceremoniously shown the door on April 24, soon after the channel settled a defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million over false 2020 election claims.

Having shifted from the GOP-operative crowd to cable news to the former Celebrity Apprentice host’s inner circle for the last year of his administration and back to FNC commentary and Outnumbered co-host gigs over her career, McEnany will take over the slot for five days starting May 8.

However, in recent months, she has lent her support to former Trump protégé, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, to get in the 2024 race. The rebuke of the indicted Trump has seen ex-CNN commentator McEnany now at the receiving end POTUS 45’s social media jabs. “I guess Kayleigh is no longer speaking so favorably about DeSanctimonious now that his Polls are shot!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform in late April.

When I talk about blonde privilege and the CLEAR association between blond(e) good looks and right-leaning politics, a lot of people here seem to roll their eyes, figuratively-speaking, but the PROOF is all there.

These dumb blondes (and anyone who accuses me of 'misogyny' here is an anti-abortion/anti-feminist HYPOCRITE; HOW DARE any pro-Trumper/pro-modern GOP poster dare to accuse anyone else of 'misogyny'), are great to look at, but despite their questionable 'qualifications' seem to have nothing going on in the brain. Maybe they're good at jumping through hoops and passing exams (👏🏼🙄), but when it comes to *thinking for themselves* they get a straight 'F'. 😠

It's WASP privilege and a lot of WASPs happen to be blonde. I do think Fox purposely selects blondes though. And they throw in a few right wing blacks when they can find them.

Oh, indeed. Agreed about WASP privilege (although a lot of white gentile blondes don't think of themselves as WASP; instead they'll claim Irish, or Polish, or even in some cases Native American ancestry, to mitigate their WASP heritage/identity/physical appearance). Also, I do find that American blond(e)s have a slightly different look to many European blond(e)s, possibly because the former are a mix of *various* Northern European backgrounds (i.e. English, Dutch, German, Scottish, Scandinavian etc), or maybe it's to do with the climate/different dental habits/how distinct populations, even ones that are similarly white/Anglo-Saxon, favour different genes which manifest in distinct phenotypes. WASP Americans seem to be more tanned/reddish/pink than European WASPs, and often seem to have a more chiselled look. Also, they generally seem to have larger eyes and fuller lips (although the latter is often a German influence).

Oh yeah, most Americans are a mix of different ethnic groups. Like I'm part Greek, part Dutch, part German, part English, part Scottish. In Europe they'd all be more or less purebreds. It's a different look.

I'd say your Greek ancestry means you're not a WASP, unless it's very distant, but without the Greek (i.e. if you were a mix of Dutch, German, English and Scottish) that would be pretty WASPy, albeit a 'mixed' WASP heritage.

Yeah, I identify more with the Greek side though. I had more contact with the Greek relatives. I went to a Greek Orthodox Church. The WASP side of the family was off in Colorado.

Of course. I wasn't specifically commenting on your identity. We established that you're predominantly Greek on the Cleopatra board. I was just observing that even though German, Dutch, English and Scottish is a mix, I'd still call anyone with that heritage a WASP. It's kind of like how Michelle Pfeiffer describes herself as a 'mutt' because her heritage is "Swiss-German, Swedish, German, English, Welsh, French, Dutch, and Irish" and yet, most people would still describe her as a WASP and Aryan (and give or take the Irish part, and it could be Scots-Irish/Protestant Irish, those ethnicities are essentially WASP).

We Greeks just lump them together and call them "Anglos", like the Puerto Ricans did in "West Side Story". But yeah, technically, Anglos are English. I suppose Germans and Dutch might me offended at being called "Anglos".
