I haven't seen the film yet. However, in the trailers, a young boy is seen yelling at McConoughy's character, whom I think is this kid, and I think he looks like a young Edward Furlong.

shareI'm thinking mud as noted has a bit of stand by me reflected in it. I'm also thinking that Ty looks a bit like river Phoenix from the same film.
