One of the great jams of the sixties...

Has anyone ever heard a movie described that way? I've never heard anyone call a movie a jam. Maybe a song, but not a movie. Worse, she used this to describe "The World of Henry Orient". That makes it even more odd.

If this is her attempt to get younger viewers interested in classic movies, she's completely out of touch. She sounds like an old mom trying to speak and relate to her teenage kids and their friends. Always an embarrassing situation.

At least she didn't use the word "cringe" like so many morons online.

I'm not seeing the correlation.

The world of Henry Orient is an interesting and somewhat strange movie. I liked it, it's a glimpse into the mid 60's before Hippies, the Summer of Love revolution and all that stuff drastically changed fashions, music, and film. Then again I like just about everything Peter Sellers did.

I'd hardly call it a "jam" though, lol

Exactly. It was just really odd. And you're right, even if the word was used correctly, The World of Henry Orient is definitely no "jam".

According to Urbandictionary.com, "jam" not only applies to music, but "is relevant to any specific subject matter. It is used to describe any specific thing that you feel you enjoy more than the majority of other options in the same category."

However, I agree that she sounded like a middle-aged mom trying (and failing) to sound hip to her teenage kids.
