Her singing style is completely wrong for the 80s.

I realize this is 2016 but she is on a show that is supposed to be set in the 80s. Women did not sing with exaggerated vibrato and melisma.

Hmmm, guess you've never heard of Whitney Houston who was known for melisma, particularly in her '80s song "Dance with Somebody". Or Dolly Parton. Better luck next time.

You need to take a reading comprehension class. The discussion was based on the use of vibrato in the '80s which the poster said wasn't used then and I pointed out two female singers who used it frequently. Wasn't comparing Whitney to Hayley, or Dolly vs Whitney, so better luck to YOU next time.

You need to try again. The OP said it wasn't an 80s style. If Whitney was the only one doing it, then the OP is right. Besides, this chick doesn't sound a thing like Whitney.
