C'mon, she's really campaigning for VP.

Don't be stupid.

reply

that would make sense. she brings nothing to the table.

why would be people vote for "no name sandwich cookie" when they got Oreos at home.

reply

It's obvious that whoever wins the Republican nomination will need a female VP. The days of two men at the top of the ticket are over.

She just better be careful what she says about Trump.

reply

seems like the logical reason why they keep saying i dont "punch sideways". that or some strategist honestly believes the only way to beat trump is pretending to be the "adult in the room"

i disagree only i am fairly left wing and i think only whiny "woke" types care about that. Kamala certainly wasnt the reason Biden one and if anything hurt him

reply

I'm a Democrat but I think a return of the Republican Neo-Cons is a bigger threat than Trump. Haley smells like a Neo-Con.

It's not a matter of woke and it's not even a matter of winning. Lol. It's just that women have been excluded so long that the major parties must show they're moving past that.

reply

i could see both arguments and have no strong attitude either way. the neocons were/are far war monger's but on the flip side trump would have been happy to see democracy overturned.

Hilary lost. Kamala added nothing and if anything turned away many progressives. Nikki Haley as you said offers nothing and is just vying for a VP position. These peoples political ineptitude and weakness isnt an issue of barriers, they just arent good. Also I do not fancy picking a person because what is between their legs, i prefer choosing based on what is between their ears.

Who is being excluded now? Nancy led house democrats for 20 years and her and Hilary have been some of the most powerful politicians in the country. The fact is not as many women go into politics, just like not as many men go into nursing. its not exclusion it is a fact. any woman not being voted in is because their ideas are worse and don't properly appeal to their voters. thats not sexism or barriers or exclusion, that is just bad politicking and electioneering.

Just like when someone says "we need more young people in politics". Well i would rather Bernie sanders than Josh Hawley or Tom Cotton

I oppose Trump because his domestic policies and "tax the poor to give to the rich" is the same old Republican bullshit. But I give credit to Trump on foreign policy. He countered decades of Neo-Con policy that it's America's duty to make the world safe for democracy. That's a canard. We've had endless wars since World War II and Americans need to stop this interventionist madness.

Hillary won the popular vote in 2016. And if she had run in 2020 she'd be President now.

Personally I'm not one of those "inclusion" woke fanatics. But demographics tell me that in the next few elections both parties will have women on the Presidential ticket.

The issue which most concerns me is age. It's not that younger is always better. It's just that Biden, Trump, Clinton and Sanders are older than any President we've ever had before 2020. There's the issue of dementia as we see its onset in Biden. And then there's just life expectancy. It wouldn't be unusual for any of those 70+ geriatrics to drop dead at any moment.

reply

i agree with you on both counts about trump.

and if my mother had wheels shed be a bicycle. thats not how the electoral system works she lost. and arguably. But both candidates had record turnout in 2020. If anything going against Hilary would have galvanized not jsut trump supporters but republicans who hate her even more vs rather plain Biden. But would it have galvanized dems to support her even more than Biden? its impossible to tell. but if its so obvious why didnt she? its not as if shes averse to power. shes one of the least genuine and likeable politicians and thats saying alot for an occupation known to be unlikable and not genuine.

that is good to hear. and possibly but i dont know if that matters though. im not more likely to vote for a white man. is a woman more likely to vote for a woman candidate? weve both said we prefer good ideas over ethnic and sex boxes being ticked

reply

Well I'll be honest I'm not a Hillary Clinton fan. I think she's brutal and calculating. But she's still sharp. I think Biden is a doddering old mistake. I'm just saying despite her negatives, the majority wanted Hillary.

Also, I fervently support the electoral college. It gives geographical balance. Why have a federal republic with a balance of power between the feds and the states, if you're gonna have a direct national popular vote which ignores the states?

reply

Show me how Republicans "tax the poor to give to the rich".

You go easy on the rich because they create jobs at 1000:1, and you'll raise more revenue taxing the 1000 than the 1, because no matter what you tax the rich guy, he/she is going to find loopholes around it.

reply

You're not wrong. Saddest part is she's gonna get passed up for someone else like Kristi Noem or Kari Lake.

reply

I don't think it will be Kari Lake. She's too far right like Sarah Palin. I'm sure McCain regretted putting Palin on the ticket.

reply

Biden made hundreds of millions as VP for the Kenyan tranny.

Why shouldn’t others capitalize.

reply

Who's the tranny, Michelle or Barack?

This election next year is more about closure & new beginnings and when I say new beginnings, I'm referring to the next VP being the President in 2028 and THAT'S where the new generation begins with out with the old and in with the new.. Until then, it's Trump vs Biden in a rematch that never should've been a rematch from 2020 but of course, you'll have the usual suspects with "I'm not voting for Biden, I'm voting against Trump" crap, which is really annoying in that you know how bad Biden is ruining this Country, but you would rather have that happen for another 4 years than vote For Trump and that in itself shows a certain level of TDS that people have, despite gasoline prices being lower than it ever was under Trump and a Border, while not perfect, wasn't the super clusterfuck it is now thanks to this open border crap O'Biden championed.. Yiu can deny it all you want, but deep down, you know it's true. Whomever Trump chooses as his VP will in fact be the next President in 2028 and if he were smart and he is, he'd choose a female since a female will eventually become President..

reply

I detest Biden. I'm hoping common sense will prevail and Biden will choose not to run and retire.

I'm a Democrat. But there are two wings in the Republican Party. There's the Neo-Conservatives like Nikki Haley. And there are the pseudo-libertarians like Trump. I believe Trump is the lesser of two evils. The Neo-Conservatives keep getting us involved in these ridiculous wars like Ukraine.

I do not believe Trump will choose Haley as his running mate. I would wager he'll go with someone like South Dakota governor Kristi Noem. Damn, she just looks too good:
