I'm happy for Ariana also! I think her best bet for a Grammy is in the pop solo performance category. However, going up against Adele is tough. Combined with the fact that "Dangerous Woman" wasn't a big hit, Ariana may have an uphill battle to get a win.

I think she has more chances on Pop Vocal Album, she would really deserve to pull out an upset on that one. But if not, then Ariana, Bieber and Sia will just be looked down agianst the big old almighty Adele.
I would like Ariana but realistically if not her, Bieber should win Pop Solo over Adele. Beyonce has no business in there, it's not even her genre and she won't be voted over the others.

No well, Ariana needs to keep going up with her career, couple more years of prestige and eventually release some kind of masterpiece that will put her as a frontrunner on the Grammys. Right now, it would be surprise if she wins.

scrardft, I hope you are right that Ariana can pull off an upset in the Pop Vocal Album. The website "The Daily Campus" also believes Ariana has a decent chance of winning there. But I just can't see her beating out Adele or Justin Bieber, whose albums vastly outsold hers and received more radio airplay. The Grammys also love Sia, so she is the dark horse in that category.

I figure her chances are good in the pop solo vocal performance, because even critics of her music praise her vocal skill. This category is supposed to recognize a "superior vocal performance". Adele is the favorite because "Hello" was such a huge song; however Adele and Beyonce are big voices that may cancel each other out. Bieber has no business being in this category with his voice, and I don't know if Kelly Clarkson had a good year; but Kelly can sing.

But you are right. Ariana has a slim chance of winning a Grammy this year. She still has not yet had that big signature crossover song or album. She needs to break out of that pop mode her record label has her in.

Adele is a lot better than all of the above listed on that list
