shareYou have obviously never read Uncle Tom's Cabin, or even a synopsis of it. If so, like so many of the uninformed you would not use the term "Uncle Tom" as a pejorative. Early in the novel Tom risked his life to save a young girl. Midway through he refused to whip other slaves when ordered and was beaten to near death. At the end of the novel, Tom gave his life to save a black woman from sexual slavery.
I suspect you are also unaware (euphemism) of Josiah Henson, the actual person Tom was based on.
Educate yourself. It's enlightening.
