Not that many people want the role of a lying puppet.

Trump was bored before the first term, thinking:"I might as well be president once, you know, bucket list stuff. I have money I don't have to be a puppet", that didn't work out too well, this time he was forced to run.

But Michelle Obama has seen what her husband has been doing, what would be her reason to run? I mean the Obamas are filthy rich now.

Michele is probably smart enough to know the job is too big for her, something Kamala didn't understand.

The only real choice was Kamala Harris by the time Biden dropped out. She was the only one who could get easy access to the campaign war chest. Money well spent.

In retrospect (or Monday morning quarterbacking - your choice), they should have stayed with Biden and tap danced their way around his failing faculties. A few well placed MSM complicit "interviews" cleverly edited could have made him appear more mentally aware. Biden would have had a better chance to beat Trump and Biden could have stepped down a month later due to "medical" issues.

Not "medical issues", everyone would just scream the S word, I think more likely "family and personal reasons".

Also it is going to be difficult for him to attend campaign rallies. They can use AI on TV speeches, but not in person, not until advanced robotics made breakthrough.
