Today I watched "The Battle of Bastards". One of my favorite scenes was when Theon and his sister came to meet Dany and Tyrion. Her amused smile she gave to Tyrion, was so good touch: it set the tune for the whole scene and made you think these were people with actual thoughts and feelings and this really happened. Good idea from who ever thought about it.
Yes, I know, I'm a man. I can't have an objective opinion, because she charms me, that's what the critics would say. But heck, there's plenty of other gorgeous women playing in movies and Tv-series I wouldn't watch if you paid me! Although, yes, Daenerys DOES charm people, and so should who plays her. A lot of men would do silly things if she (Daenerys or Emilia) asked. But it's not just that she charms me. I wrote praises of Tyrion and Ser Davos too, what, did they charm me too? Hah!
No. I just think Emilia does a wonderful job as Daenerys. She steals every scene where she is. And she's in many with Tyrion, who steals every other scene where he is! She is fierce, she is intelligent, emotional: it's a good role and takes a lot to play. I haven't ever found not believing her. She is Daenerys, and the role was well casted!
Lexa is cute!
