EMILIA CLARKE JOINS THE HAN SOLO STAND-ALONE FILM

Emilia Clarke is heading to a galaxy far, far away — and she’s going to meet Han and Chewie.

StarWars.com is excited to announce that Clarke, known for her stirring portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, will join the upcoming untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie. Clarke’s role will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures.

Clarke joins Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover — previously cast as Han Solo and Lando Calrissian, respectively — in the highly-anticipated film, which is set prior to the original Star Wars trilogy.

The untitled Han Solo movie, helmed by directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, is set for release in 2018.

Another movie with another "young star" in an epic role they aren't prepared for.
I find Emilia very overrated as an actress, and my theory is that she only gets
roles because she's a "big name", not due to her actingskills.

I'm SO tired of having "popular" actors shoved down my throat in important roles,
like Alicia Vikander in Tomb Raider, a role she clearly isn't suitible for.

So.. i'm not gonna pay 1 cent to watch this "starwars" movie...

News flash for you bub. They ain't lettin' you in for a penny anyway. They're actually targeting a different demographic: i.e. those with jobs. You can sit outside any movie you want and beg for spare change - but that won't change Emilia's box office receipts.

But here's a little economics tip that you might find helpful. If you go begging outside an Emilia Clarke movie - you're bound to make more money because of the volume of traffic that will walk past your sorry arse. Fortunately, casting directors already have that figured out - which is why Emilia has been cast. You still need to learn it.

Dreez I agree with you completely. She's a terrible actress, she hasn't improved whatsoever over the years on GOT and I find this casting ridiculous, Vikander, while more talented than Clarke has no business playing Croft. Would have liked to see more inspired casting choices in these films.
