Endless pool of talented British actors

The late, great, English acting titan Lord Laurence Olivier was asked why it was that the Brits produce so many world-class actors of all ages, types, shapes, sizes.

He said there is no secret formula. The training is great and there are so many role models for the up-and-coming actors to look up to.

And even in this day of people being famous for being famous, it's still rare for a British actor to get famous BEFORE they get good. In other words, you learn your craft and pay your dues in theater. Then, with hard work, you will get chances to make a living in the biz and in some cases, reach stardom.

But even with this sensible explanation, the endless conveyor belt of young British talent is mind-blowing.

Americans used to be the most prominent movie stars. But the Brits like Norton are pushing them out of the way.

The Yanks need to step up their game.

Right? How do they keep producing these dreamboats who are also incredibly talented and learned, acting powerhouses? If this isn't explained soon, I'm going to assume they're operating under a secret, authoritarian system like how North Korea trains their gymnasts; they pluck kids from their homes and train them into adulthood. There's no way James Norton turned-out to be such perfection, without an official plan behind it.
