Is this guy a good actor? And if so, can you tell me what some of his best performances are please? I'm only asking because this guy is probably going to be Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, and I want to make sure that Finnick is played by a good actor as I've never heard of him until he was rumored to be in Catching Fire.

shareNo. He's in Snow White and the Huntsman, and although he's not as bad as Kristen Stewart, he hasn't got an ounce of Chris Hemsworth's charm. The most I could say is that he's inoffensive. You don't notice him acting poorly because you don't notice him at all.

Yes he's a reallt good actor. If you watch him in some of his work such as Pillars of the Earth, Any Human Heart and White Heat you'l see that he's a good actor. He studied at LAMDA which is one of the best, if not the best, acting schools in the UK. He's got stage fighting training and experience in fighting thanks to Pillars, Pirates and Snow White.

@ James, go see the lost future, it's a tv movie with sam claflin starring in one of the main roles, there he can pull an american accent perfectly!

I've only seen him in POTC4 & SWATH. In both, he didn't need to act much, just be there (& not look stupid!) As Finnick, he'd just need to do much of the same (but look fantastically & beautifully suntanned with green eyes), and be great in action scenes and at carrying people!
