Gummer? Has her agent suggest maybe to get a stage name? Gummer sounds like how old people with no teeth eat food. Or just have "Gum" in the name. Just bad. Lots of people have stage names so why not.

Still a bad move to use that last name.

She could have picked a name and said she's using it because she doesn't want people to be influenced and/or wants to walk her own path (or some BS like that).
