I heard recently she may be replacing on of the actresses on the show who is leaving and really hope she gets it. I've only recently started to watch Doctor Who and its great and adding my favorite actress to the show would only make it better. And I hope its a long lasting role not just a one and done thing I want her to be the new companion for the foreseeable future.

I did hear the same thing which was very disappointing. But I did hear it confirmed that Jenna Coleman is leaving so I don't know maybe there is a slim chance of it happening but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Actually, Jenna is staying. I don't know if she had decided to leave and changed her mind, or if the whole "Jenna is leaving" thing was just a head fake. But in the closing credits on the Christmas special, they did say she was returning next year.
