Not going to Venice or Toronto

Seems he's not going to Venice because of filming schedule conflicts. He's also not mentioned on the attendee list for Toronto. Sophie and Maisie have both been spotted in Belfast so GOT might begin filming soon. Seems he's going from one project to another at the moment, busy man.

He's super busy right now; the JFD cast apparently wrapped up filming yesterday or today. At first I wasn't sure if the 'scheduling conflict' was with Thrones or John F. Donovan but I'm pretty sure it's Thrones especially since Xavier Dolan (JFD director) is on the guest list for TIFF, so if he's able to attend then so should Kit. So it must be the Thrones schedule that's conflicting with the film festivals.

Although JFD continues filming in different parts of Europe till November, I'm pretty sure Kit's character won't be a part of those because I remember Xavier saying that the story has a 'past' and 'present' storyline.

I'm really sad we won't get to see him mingling with other celebs at this festival and honestly if he isn't able to attend Cannes in February for the JFD premier I will RIOT!

I agree, I think the conflict with filming is for GOT. I wouldn't be surprised if there will be pictures of him arriving to Belfast soon.
It's a shame that he can't attend as I think the exposure would've been good for his chances at the Emmy's.
He'll definitely go to Cannes for JFD, it would be career suicide to not promote your first big lead movie which premieres in one of the most well-known film festivals in the world.

Brimstone is showing at BFI London Film Festival. Hopefully he's going to be able to go to this one in his hometown!

Yeah, apparently Kit arrived in New York? Maybe a stopover towards London? Maybe he can still make it to Venice.... just wishful thinking I guess...

The Rolling Stones Magazine thinks he should win the Emmy but don't believe he will because the vote will be split with Peter. They did say some lovely things about him:

WILL WIN: Now that Kit Harington has finally garnered a well-deserved nomination for his lowkey but absolutely crucial work as Jon Snow on Game of Thrones, Peter Dinklage's Tyrion Lannister may be vulnerable to vote-splitting. That leaves Jonathan Banks's Mike Ehrmentraut, a virtual embodiment of world-weariness, as the man to beat.

SHOULD WIN: While Banks is as brilliant as he's ever been in this role, which he's played for years on both Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, our heart belongs to the prince that was promised: Kit Harington's Jon Snow, one of the most quietly compelling characters of the decade.
