Bauhaus or Joy Division.

For me it's Bauhaus. I like Joy Division but their music sounds more dated.

Joy Division. Closer is one of my favorite albums.

But Bauhaus are good.

My favourite album by both bands are Closer and In the Flat Field. Although I like Closer better, the songs from the other Bauhaus albums are better than anything on Unknown Pleasures.

Joy Division. Most of Bauhaus isn't very interesting.

To be fair, Joy Division has a lot less songs in their catalogue.

True, but the majority of their songs are memorable. Bauhaus has the Bela Lugosi song and a cover of Ziggy Stardust.
