because hollywood just shoved him down our throats without thinking... john wesley shipp was perfectly cast as the flash... great actor and a ripped body that is what the flash is suppossed to look like.. its a shame that the writting and special effects were soo bad.. grant gustin dosent fit the role of barry allen but hes done an amazing job and the writting and special effects rock.. erza was a poor choice... james badge dale or superman from smallville would have been better
shareConsidering the most "Hollywood" movie he's been involved with is "Trainwreck", I'm curious how Hollywood "shoved him down [your] throats without thinking." He's been doing independent fare for the majority of his career and his been killing it since. Whoever plays the Flash needs to have a good body and a wicked sense of humor and the films Miller's been involved with show he has the sense of humor to knock it out of the park, i.e. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" or "The Stanford Prison Experiment". Having a good body is something he can do with the right amount of working out and wigs/hair dye. I mean, Jared Leto didn't bleach his skin and destroy his teeth, but he still looks like he's gonna knock it out of the park as the Joker.

Thank goodness for you. So many people know nothing about Ezra but want to voice opinions merely on Grant Gustin not being cast as Barry Allen.
Ezra is so talented and embodies such a range of acting, whatever he does with Barry Allen, I know is going to be amazing.

on tv show he isn't blond too and it worked. Ok that is CW and almost anything works for them.

shareI think the person meant he was 'shoved down our throats' because they cast Ezra without any regard for the comic book character. They may as well have just called the character The Whizzer seeing as how he bears no resemblance. Do you see Marvel casting Adam Sandler as Thor?
