I just read in my people magazine that he was hit by a cement truck when he was 11?!?! Imdb has no information about this, I'm so curious to know more!

It's true, supposedly. I believe they talk about it on one of the episode commentaries. Possibly S3:E3?? But if I remember correctly, they edited out the conversation for some reason.
