She's obviously a capable actress and I'm liking her as the lead character of the show but her American accent is not that great and her natural accent keeps slipping out. I wish she would have worked a little harder at it, it's distracting when it happens.

shareAgreed. I actually love her as an actress and I get excited whenever I see her in something, but the inconsistent accent is distracting. I'm only on the second episode of Slasher, so maybe it gets better? And if not, it's not the biggest deal. I'd much rather watch a good actress with a slipping accent that a bad actress with a consistent one.
