Watching American Pie presents Beta House, I saw her and thought she was the spitting image of Christina Ricci. Then her name pops up in the credits and added fuel to the theory. Are they related or is it just some really odd coincidence?

Italia Ricci was born in Canada and is of Italian descent.
Christina Ricci was born in California and is pretty much Scots-Irish, even though she has the Italian last name. She states that an ancestor from several generations back was Italian and married an Irish woman. They had sons and from there on the following generations had a lot of sons (therefore, the name carried on), but most married Irish women.

So they're not directly related but they both have Italian roots. Shouldn't be too far off to assume they share a common ancestor.
