Why now in 2022? She admitted she fabricated the story back in 2017/18.

It's usually about money. Two of Till's relatives are on the board of the Emmett Till Legacy Foundation so they can raise money off this latest effort. The family of Carolyn Bryant Donham disputes the author's account. The family claims that she never recanted her testimony and the author did not have the bombshell quote on tape. The author was hired to help with Bryant Donham's memoir and he decided to write an unauthorized book.
