Petition for 'BETWIXT'!!!
As many of you probably know, TheCw has picked up six pilots for this fall season at the beginning of the year. One of the ordered pilots was a potentional genre show called "BETWIXT" inspired by a book written by Tara Bray Smith. The story centers around three teenagers also known as changelings, the children of supernatural entaties, who are destined to safe humans from evil. The pilot was written by Elisabeth Chandler (Sisterhood of the Traveling pants). The cast was amazing. Allison Miller, Josh Henderson, Jessy Schram, Austin Butler and David Gallagher were supposed to star in this show when picked up. Unfortunetly TheCW didn´t pick it up and instead went with "Nikita" and "Hellcats".
This is very disappointing. For the past few months it was reported that "BETWIXT" was one of the top pilots for the network! I had the pleasure of reading the entire script of the pilot and I was blown away by it. Surely the pilot is a lot darker than "The Vampire Diaries" but it wouldn´t be as dark as "Superntaural". Fot those of you who read the book, and were disappointed, you wouldn´t have been disappointed wtih the show. Some character changes have been made in terms of powers and a few minor name changes from Ondine to Celine. Celine was also considered being able to fly! When I read the script, I was at the edge of my seat all the time and the pilot would´ve been a lot better than "The Vampire Diaries", which had a very slow start with the pilot! I know that "Betwixt" has gained a huge fanbase over the past few months, who were very much excited and very intrigued by this slightly dark but very mystical concept! This pilot would have been a great companian to "The Vampire Diaries" on Thursday, which had previousely been planned by the network but instead they chose to pass on this promising pilot which would´ve been a huge hit and could have helped the network gain a new level of attention! The network´s reasons for not picking up "Betwixt" seem very unplausible to me, as they considered it to be "too Dark". As I said, this is complete BS in my mind because nothing could be darker than Superntural on TheCW!
I ask you too please help get the pilot on the air! Possibly for midseason or on another network! There has been a petition going around asking people to sign and to support this truly amazing pilot!
