Cloverfield

He was one of the most annoying characters ever, bringing up all the wrong subject like a jackass. Like the other characters are just plain stupid but he's annoyed, the characters ruined the movie. Guys like Hud I avoid in real life and I know it's not TJ but he really should of rejected this role. I can't even finish the movie mostly because of his character.

This is just my opinion...but I loved the way they had him say some random off the wall comments. He relieves the tension. Now one thing I would NOT have appreciated would be him talking about the guy lighting homeless people on fire in the subway.
It was funny...but it wouldn't have been if I were there.

Like he was a really annoying dude? Like someone that everyone of us knows? Wow! How could the producers ever think to put someone like that into this movie?

Some people just aren't smart enough to get films like this.

i am moreeeeeee than pleased to see this thread on here because i have just wasted my *beep* time with this bastard film....i love movies and never really slate them and find some credit in the worst of them but this straight out is the *beep* worst film i have seen in 35years and this is the worst character ever......im actually going to watch spice girls the movie just to cheer myself *beep* crap.....the makers of this 'film' should be *beep* ashamed and give all earnings to charity.

why would you ever watch the spice girls movie, unless you were 12 when the movie came out? and a girl...
I was forced into watching that film at a sleep over, and then we watched porn. The porn had better acting.

I loved Cloverfield, and Hud was a very realistic character, and he made me laugh throughout the film. The part where he starts videotaping that random guy and he looks really confused, was so funny. And where he calls Clovey and his babies "terrible things", really made me smile. He was good comedic relief for me.

I like how Cloverfield's dialog and action flowed so well together. The monsters look realistic instead of like the crap in Transformers, and so many others that use CGI way too much. The subway tunnel scene was just perfectly shot. I loved the way everybody thought it was another terrorist attack, because that's what New Yorkers fear the most. They had no idea it could be worse. The way the monster moved, it looked so scared, you can almost imagine the fear it was facing by being around these little monsters (us) trying to destroy it.
I was pleased that their was no explanation of where the monster came from. It makes it a different movie for each viewer, that is special in it's own.

I don't know what your favorite movie is, but I might assume that you like chick flicks since that Spice Girls movie came to mind for you. Cick Flicks are normally really bad... just to let you know...

I hate how IMDb signatures look like part of the post.

I loved the part when he was trying to get Rob out of the video store. He said "man we gotta get outta her man. There is some really horrific **** going on out there. He was hillarious I thought. I didn't find him annoying at all. Also the part when he was screaming at the top of his lungs trying to hear what Rob was trying to tell him right before they got down into the subway was pretty good acting too.
