If her father is really Italian,it's probably not her registered last name, unless daddy wasn't in her life and she took mom's name.

I have a friend whose family is from Sicily. His grandfather came through Ellis Island,and his father grew up speaking Italian at home.

His grandfather changed the family name to Taylor when he came here.
