Also, I'm getting a bit tired of all these movie that are winking to the women
in the audience that they can do anything a man can do. I am all for
encouraging girls, but all through it they make men look like giant oafs
that don't have a clue what they are doing and are just there to get beat
up by girls!

You're wrong. I are up on TV and the movies and there was the occasional female
fighting girl. The first one I recall was in the show the "Avengers" with Patrick McNee
and Diana Rigg as Emma Peel - and from England in 1965. They dressed Rigg up in
leather and she could pull it off because of camera angles and I think she was a
classical actress and maybe a ballet dancer. It went over well in the US at a time
when the women's roles were Bewitched and I Dream Of Jeanie.
Then Charlies Angels in 1976, but nothing like we have today because people just
would not have believed it.
Over the years movies and TV have gotten more and more ridiculous as they have
pandered to make certain groups feel better ... which is probably OK since most
commercial movies were centered around white males. Give others a chance.
When you say I "sound" a certain way - it always gives me a chuckle as to how or
why people have to create images and ideas about people in the internet social
media that they know nothing about. It's more about what is between your ears
and you brain than anything about me. Stick to the facts, or explain why you
think that.
I like Indie, foreign, small, art movies because American productions have just
gotten too stupid mentally. Vampires, werewolves, super-heroes, hit-man, then
hit-women. Foreign movies, history movies - not American because we twist
history out of shape.
