I only saw snippets and photos of SELFIE but I always saw Karen Gillan wearing micro miniskirts and obsessively flirting with her uptight boss, John Cho. Hollywood is still nervous about romantic relationships between white women and Asian men. Cho obligingly played the sexless, charmless, Asian man, lots of book smarts, negative on machismo. Anyway, I am very appreciative of Gillan's attempt to bring back the miniskirt, especially the very short miniskirt. She had the legs for it, although a tad on the skinny side.

Be careful what you wish for... I've lived through trends in women's fashion where only those with certain body types should embrace a trend and seen that many women that shouldn't join the trend do so anyways. Do you really want to see the amount of cottage cheese that will be unleashed on humanity if mini-skirts make a come back? remember the last time they were a thing the number of obese Americans was much lower than it is today. I fear a wave of women with the body type of Rosie O'Donnell waltzing around the local markets which is not something I want to endure on a daily basis.

FACT CHECK: they've never been out of fashion in Scotland. You clearly haven't been out on the town in Edinburgh on a Saturday night.
