Porn helped her career

Sasha is nowhere near being a star of mainstream films, but considering that very successful actors are only the tip of the iceberg she's probably more successful than the great majority of performers out there. With her bad acting, I doubt she'd land the main role in a film by an Oscar winning director if she was your average unknown aspiring actress.

Besides some protests against porn actors in mainstream movies, I don't think the majority of people (and that includes filmmakers) would genuinely care about her past if she had something to offer before the screen.

Her inability to make it big is the norm, not the exception. In that regards, she's no different from many other actors that haven't gotten their breakthrough, or from those that where somehow famous and now, for no apparent reason, struggle to land a decent film.

Porn industry is nothing but a scapegoat. The real reason she hasn't made it is because she doesn't have the talent to be a character actress, nor the spark to be a big star.
