Show producers had decided that Rebekah's storyline was advancing in such a way that the character was no longer needed in a series regular capacity.
She's a freaking original...... if you're going to make a show about them, have the writing skills to make her needed. i dont understand this......
I think it's a case of Claire Holt wanted to leave but they've just said that they didn't know what to do with her because it's easier.
Like you said, the show is called The Originals and she's the only female original. If they can create storylines for Klaus and Elijah (who's pretty boring) then they can do it for Rebekah who has become a fan favourite.
I read that her quitting was a life choice not a career choice. I have no idea what that means though.
sharei just saw a panel where they interviewed cast members and she said she just missed her family or something.... she said she hopes "to return to her New Orleans family real soon", so thats something....
shareYES! I agree! She is the only female Original and badass and is more lead material than any of the girls. The show doesn't know what they lost. She was amazing. They kept on trying to downplay her and weaken the character but Claire Holt was so amazing it didn't work.
