I'm watching claire in Mean girls 2 right now, and I used to watch her in H2O, her american accent is really good but it makes her voice sound completely different! I don't know if her voice sounds higher, it just doesn't sound like her, it's funny.

Australians talk from their throats thus making their voices deeper so when she talks in her american accent for MG2, Messengers 2, and PLL or her british accent for TVD it's higher because they talk from the front of their mouths

shareNah, I've noticed it slipping lately in TVD season 3 - the British accent. And it hasn't seemed natural for the time she's been on, something about it that doesn't seem organic. Oh well.
shareWell, the accents for the Originals aren't necessarily supposed to be British. They've traveled all over the world anyway so it could be an amalgam of many. Daniel Gillies (Elijah) confirmed this when explaining his own accent and why it's not British.
