The official Ashley Greene support thread.

I saw on one of her fansites, she was getting SERIOUSLY bullied by some hardcore Demi fans. They were wishing her to die, to get raped, murdered horribly, etc. in such vulgar, rude ways. No one deserves to be bullied, and especially not in that manner. Ashley Greene is such a sweet and truly talented person, I can't think of anyone else who deserves to be a huge star more than she does. Anyway, the point of this thread is to just show your support for her-perhaps Ashley herself might see it! I've never done anything like this before, so forgive me if this might be bending some guidelines or something.

I have a a couple of questions.

1. Have there always been so many people that sick out there and we just didn't know about them until the internet revealed their true nature?

OR

Has society degraded so much in recent years that more people are getting like that?

It's sick and disgusting, and Twitter refuse to step in and delete the accounts that do it. There have been so many complaints and they won't do a damn thing.

Ugh, I guess that's what happens when you provoke the Disney fans. Most of them are so immature and childish anyway, convinced that Ashley's the reason Demi's in the hospital or rehab or wherever, when it could be for entirely different reasons. The punch line is, most of them also secretly want Joe for themselves, and with that type of ugly, un-ladylike behaviour, they're certainly not going to get him.

Doesn't it violate their policy or whatever?
But, I guess we know now which side Twitter is on. xP
Unbelievable.

There's a petition for Twitter to actually step in in cases of severe cyberbullying http://twitition.com/qkgom/ so if you have an account (if not it's easy to get one) and sign the petition.

Judging from the sound of things (in those 2 links above) it is safe to say that it is a bunch of children doing all that. Seriously, it sounds like the teeny boppers are out with their pitch forks and hounds. It IS the Disney squad that is doing it. I saw similar hostility from Lindsay Lohan fans and Hilary Duff fans a few years back when they went to war against each other. Each of their fan bases was throwing similar insults at the celebrity the other fan base supported. Really immature stuff was said. Kids trying to sound as violent as possible as if that was going to make them be taken more seriously. Yeah right!.

It might be a bit unsettling for Ashley to hear such things being said. But it will die down eventually. It wont stop as there will always be children out there like that. But it will die down to a whimper eventually. That type of hater gets bored fast. They will need to find something new to hate on sooner or later. All I can say to Ashley is try not to let it get to you too much. That sort of person isn't worth worrying about. They are all puff and no stuff. Children up passed their bed times is all it is. If they were mature they would put across their hatred in a more civilized manner.

I hope your alright Ashley honey. You definitely do not deserve any of what was said. Only baby killers and rapists and others like that deserve to be spoken to like that. Not an actress like yourself. We're not all like that Ashley. Most of us are decent people.

If the opinion of a middle-aged grouch counts, there has been a great, rapid decline in civility over the past 20 years. These people are not sick. They are rude, aware that enforcing rules or laws about hate speech online is almost impossible, and VICIOUS as hell.

Bullies have always existed; technology has helped to create more of them and gives them more ways to harass people.
