Man, so many I hadn't thought of! Although I'm erring on the side of caution when it comes to movies that could be argued had men as equal or greater leads. Like Sarah Conner and Trinity etc.

Also: Cynthia Rothrock's American movies.

She's a cabbage.

Post #MeToo everyone is acting like the early-to-mid 00s badass female led series' didn't exist. I remember all the hoopla around Wonder Woman (2017) and Captain Marvel (2019) like DC & Marvel were changing the course of history or some shit.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)
Resident Evil (2002)
Underworld (2003)
Catwoman (2004)
Elektra (2005)

Anyone who was a teen boy during this time was all about those ladies kicking ass. Everyone had the hots for Kate Beckinsale, Milla Jovovich, Angelina Jolie etc, etc. Nobody considered the films 'woke'. The films didn't push some crazy #GirlPower nonsense. These were just female led films made to entertain and everyone was all for it.

Virtue signalling on a massive scale - hey, the problem wasn't actually a problem, but we're going to pretend it was so we can feel special and like we're part of some righteous movement. Society used to have a natural diversity that didn't need to be shoved down people's throats.
