Looks like she is making a comeback
After a couple of years of being a rather "cooled off" and slowing down she now has 4 movies lined up for 2022 and beyond. It looks like she is making a comeback and regaining momentum again.

Oh, "come" back!!
good
shareLet's see if the movies pan out before we say she is back. I still can't think of her without seeing a bunch of baby batter on her face.
shareI don’t think she actually cooled off. She had a baby and decided to take time off to raise her baby.
sharepartly that. partly people were clearly getting Lawrence fatigue. she overdid her "im a normal person persona" as shown at 3;30

combine this with how many flops in a row?
-dark Phoenix
-red sparrow
-mother
-passengers
-joy
especially given how large her pay cheques were on some. why is the company paying a "big star" 20 million for a flop?
passengers costed 100 million, 20 million was Jennifers pay, and only grossed 300 million. they lost money.
I mean - she just was in hugely popular Dont Look Up just some 6 month ago ))))
Everyone were talking about it and everyone saw it.
she's trying. her ridiculous asking pay on flops did her no favour. She got 20 million on passengers alone and studios dont give you big paycheques for nothing. when your last 5/6 films were massive underpreformers Hollywood doesnt want you anymore, or at least not pay you.
she seems to be trying to earn her position again and reset her entire persona. in dont look up she was actually plain Jane kinda boring, on purpose. shed earned a reputation as an over trying "look how quirky I am". her role in DLU seemed to contradict this.
Now she's trying to earn her place back by doing lower budgets dramas where she had succeeded in the past and got praise. like Wintersbone.
Red, White and Water -"A US soldier suffers a traumatic brain injury while fighting in Afghanistan and struggles to adjust to life back home."
Causeway "It follows a soldier as she struggles to adjust to her life after returning home"
weirdly similar to red, white and water...
No Hard Feelings- no details but clearly some sort of drama, comedy or love story is my guess
then that movie bad blood about Elizabeth Holmes
RW&W had a troublesome production history: https://popcultmaster.com/2022/05/01/red-white-and-watergate/
shareMaybe she should do smaller artsy movies for awhile and then come back with a big action role, kind of like Uma Thurman in the late 1990s/early 2000s when she starred in small artsy movies like Tape and Chelsea Walls before making a big splash with Kill Bill.
