She's not Russian. According to her IMDb bio, she's from Uzbekistan, which is not part of Russia.

Many former Soviet Republics have people of Russian heritage and/or mixed Russian Heritage. My exgirlfriend was from Kazakhstan but her family were descended from Germans or were formerly known as Volga Germans before the Soviet system scattered them about.

Good point. Plus, her name, "Vayntrub", sounds like a phonetic variant of the German "Weintraub" (vine-trrrrrowb), or "grape". That could indicate Volga Germans or other Volksdeutsche who had settled in the East in the 17th and 18th centuries, or even Yiddish, as a background.

Yeah, she did intimate that she's Jewish. Didn't exactly swear on a Torah about it, but I as a member of the tribe myself, yeah, I think she's Jewish too.

Thanks to that article, we now know her age! It looks like she's about 28, or close to it, as the February 1989 article states that she was 2 years old then.
