Great performance in 'Drinking Buddies'

I love Johnson in New Girl, but I just watched Drinking Buddies and I was shocked at how fantastic he was.

I hope he does less Lets Be Cops roles, and more understated, heartfelt roles like this. Massive potential.

Came to the boards to say the exact same thing. I think he was really great in a very simple and natural way. Hadn't seen a movie like this for a long time and I love Jake in pretty much anything he's done.

Did you also watch The Pretty One? A similar-ish role. I loved Drinking Buddies. Expected a comedy and ended up with a really real, heartfelt movie.
