Hearing reports she is a bit of cold fish who ignores her fellow actors.

This is a comment on Daily Mail that I found interesting.

"Unnamed source, means the Daily Mail made it up. My wife is in the cast and by first hand accounts, Lupita is the most humble team player there is. Lupita did not dictate any prohibition of family and friends to opening night as their presence (including my mother in law) will attest. There is no "walking on egg shell" tension about going to Broadway as the offers to appear have been tendered. You cannot get a single quote from anyone in the cast or name a source close to the show to back your lies. What would inspire you to make up hurtful lies about someone? You abdicate any and all journalistic ethics by not checking your facts or just plain making stuff up. Does it make you feel good to unjustly create misery in someone's life to sell a few more hack rags? As much as you'd like to find fault, dear readers, check the facts. If the source is unnamed or corroborated then it's most likely made up. Then look into the mirror and ask yourself why are you so willing to believe?"

Like I stated on another board, Lupita hasnt shown any evidence of any of the nasty traits listed in this article. Until I see more evidence/a pattern of behavior etc. I dont believe it. The "source" sounds very bitter and jealous of Lupita.

It is I just thought the user made some valid points. But negative rumours were bound to start sooner or later.

Exactly! Here's another quote from nypost.

"The Daily Mail of London raked Lupita Nyong’o over the coals this week, claiming she’s an “ice cold diva” who won’t have lunch with her fellow cast members in “Eclipsed,” now at the Public Theater, and refuses to speak to them when she’s not in character.

I nosed around and was told that Nyong’o is “shy” and “intense” but gets along quite well with her co-stars.

Producer Stephen Byrd, who’s moving “Eclipse” to Broadway in February, tells me, “The Daily Mail story is baseless and offensive — although, when I think of all the remarkable artists who had to endure misogynistic slurs, Lupita is in fine company. She is an inspiration onstage and off.”
