I've been waiting for a movie to be based on the beautiful Egyptian Queen, Nefertiti for years. Lupita Nyong'o is a beautiful but most of all she's talented she would be perfect for the role.

shareGood point, the Cleo arguments always get my goat. First of all the only reason she is so popular is she was the last Pharaoh making her the one we know the most about. There is no debate among academics which race Cleo was.

Oh man you read my mind only I was going to say Cleopatra, hell I just want Lupita to make a movie where she wears exotic Egyptian gowns.
shareCleopatra was actually a white woman. But I do agree that Lupita should have the opportunity to wear exotic Ancient Egyptian gowns.
If anything, she should play a Nubian princess/queen. She looks more like the Nubians do. A more appropriate actress to play Nefertiti would be someone like Liya Kebede, or Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
She was mostly Greek, with mixed-race ancestry, and not traditionally attractive. I have yet to see her cast even close to accurately.
