A great man. I have reservations as to the death penalty. I lost someone to punks.

I feel he was a good man to do what he did.

You should watch "pierrepoint". A story of his career. It's an interesting film if you like drama.

I would make a great hangman. Scientific, meticulous, quick, sure, without emotion, and calm in the certainty that I was serving society. Pierrepoint was a hero.
