Very Versatile

I can't speak to the mans early works, but I've never laughed harder at a character than I did when I saw Zach as "Jody" in Shameless. He was hilarious & extremely likable, an entire opposite of his serious, brooding and violence prone Captain Vane. Still that is another great character in another far superior show. I was a fan of Crossbones, but Black Sails blows that show out of water with a full broadside. Hope Zach might consider more comedy roles in the future.

I don't know his work on Shameless but, as a Black Sails fan, I love his work as Vane. I'm especially impressed by the fact that he learned his flawless accent via accent training tapes which he listened to whilst driving between meetings and auditions. The dude has charisma to burn and deserves a long, successful career.

I completely agree. Vane is a great character & I did not know that about learning the accent. Pretty talented indeed since so many other actors hire voice trainers and still manage to muss it up. Shameless is a remake of an earlier British show starring Emily Rossum. It's not everyone's cup of tea (even I had trouble maintaining interest) and sadly Zach only is in the show for a few episodes in the early seasons, but it's worth checking out just for him I think. Not the type of show you'd want to watch with kids in the room, just a word of caution.

Jody was a freaking gem, even if he totally ruined Kiss From A Rose for me. I really hope Zach takes on more comedic roles in the future.
