Ed Westwick lands role in Clint Eastwood’s “J. Edgar”

Congratulations to Ed for landing a role in a Clint Eastwood film. Hopefully this one actually gets made, unlike that role he was supposed to have in Wuthering Heights.

Ed Westwick, has landed a significant supporting role in Clint Eastwood’s Hoover biopic “J. Edgar”. Westwick will play Agent Smith, a young operative with a knack for writing who Hoover (Leonardo DiCaprio) assigns to write his biography until he gets a little to close to the truth.

The casting on “J. Edgar” is firming up fast as Armie Hammer and Damon Herriman also recently jumped on board. One person not jumping on board, Deadline continues, is Charlize Theron, who had been rumored for the role of Helen Gandy, Hoover’s personal secretary. Eastwood is now pursuing Naomi Watts and Amy Adams as possible replacements.

this guy is terrible, he should only be playing roles like phoenix in gladiator.
