The Long Walk to Finchley

Andrea Riseborough continues to live up to her growing reputation playing the young Margaret Thatcher in this single drama which was shown on BBC4 last night. She is an excellent actress witha great future ahead provided she continues to make the right choices in her career.

she HAS to win a bafta tv award for "the long walk to finchley". she was just incredible, she had the mannerisms and vocals down perfect.

"they should give nicole kidman an oscar for being able to show any emotion after THAT much botox".

totally - the bodylanguage was incredibly convincing I thought. Even though she was not particularly made-up to look very much like Thatcher - there was no need for this - she did look like her as the way she stood, talked and held her head (also the way she scrunched up her eyes every once in a while) was so evocative of the real M. Thatcher. Very impressive performance.

BAFTA nomination for The Long Walk to Finchley - much deserved. Party Animals, The Devils Whore - I think we should start calling her Dame Andrea already...

She's phenomenal in this, assured, funny & mesmerizing. Couldn't take my eyes off her whenever she's on screen. No small credit goes to Samuel West too though..

I think (and hopefully) she's going to be big in no time, the BAFTA TV nom is a start, but really wish she'll do more films so i could find an accessible way to watch her works
